They're Back....

Yes... it's that time of the year again!
Brothers & Sisters is back on TV!!

I have become addicted to this show... and will seek treatment once all the first-run episodes have aired!

Last night was the season premiere... and the Walker family are just as fun to watch as they were when they left us last season.

If you haven't given this show a chance... please do so... it's worth the watch!

Go with the Flow...

Last weekend Mid-Michigan received over 6 inches of rain in a short 48-hour period. With that, it brought on leaky roofs (mine), flooded streets, and overflowing rivers.

The Red Cedar River cuts through the heart of Lansing and East Lansing. It is usually a very serene and peaceful river. But after this weekend's rains... it became a white water rapids!

Here is what the river normally looks like.

This is what some MSU college students, having a rare oppportunity, decided to do on the river the last few days.

SURFING... On the river!! Not something you see everyday in the Great Lakes State!

The Devil in Disguise....

Mike's Hard Lemonade looks and tastes innocent enough... but having 5 bottles of this concoction while dining with friends on a week night... well, let's just say it's really not the best thing to do.

Let me tell you, it was a slow start to the morning... and I don't feel so lemony fresh!

P.S. Hey Dad, if you are reading this... don't tell Mom!! (Yes people... I am a grown woman still not wanting to disappoint the parents!! ha ha)

Funny Girl...

I can't wait to go home this evening and watch....

I DVR'ed it... and will continue to do so every day! I absolutely adore Bonnie Hunt and think that she is one of the funniest actresses in the business. I have been a fan of hers ever since I saw her in the movie "Only You".

I am very interested to see how she does in the "talk show" world... I hope that it's a success for her.

Going Batty...

For a little excitement on Saturday night... I got to capture a Little Brown Bat that was flying around INSIDE my best friend's house. It was quite exciting... and a bit scary.

This picture isn't the actual one that I caught (but that is exactly what it looked like!)... no time for picture taking when I am in the middle of a battle!

I wasn't too afraid of it... but I was definitely afraid of being bit. It looked larger flying around than it actually was... the wingspan make its size very deceiving. But the little thing had BIG fangs... and I knew that the fish net and sheet I was using to catch it would not give me much protection.

I had to wait for a bit before it landed and I could capture it without harming it... or me for that matter!! It took me about 15 minutes to finally secure it in the net and sheet before taking it out into the street under the light to let it free.

It sure was a thrilling adventure for a single girl on a Saturday night!!
